Apse of the Santa Maria del Fiore in Firenze

The east side of the church, adjacent to Brunelleschi's dome, possesses three apses which each house five chapels. The above picture is of the central apse. The two apses on either side of the central apse possess smaller-scale versions of Brunelleschi's red-brick dome. The apses are notable for their 15th century stained glass windows by Ghiberti.
