Statue of Saint Zanobius on the Central Portal of  the Santa Maria del Fiore

This statue of San Zenobius  is located in the central portal of the Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence. Saint Zenobius(AD 337- 415), an early Bishop of Florence, is interred in the cathedral. The altar of Saint Zenobius is located at the rear of the central apse and consists of an impressive silver shrine designed by Ghiberti in 1440. There is also a painting of one of his miracles: the revival of a dead boy.
