The vestibule is lined with marble and porphyry busts of the Medici ranging from Francesco -  the second member of the family to hold the title of Grand Duke of Tuscany who ruled between 1574 and 1587 - to Gian Castone di Medici, who died without an heir in 1737 and was the last Medici Grand Duke of Tuscany.
