Lombardy

Much of Lombardy is flat agricultural land, partially consumed by the industrial belt. The region is dominated by the huge expanse of the Po valley, Italy's longest river. However, Lombardy also contains the unspoilt foothills of the Alps, the beautiful scenery of Lakes Como and Maggiore, the dramatic landscape of the Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio, and many charming historic towns such as Cremona, Mantova and Sondrio.
